About Us

The Salem villages are communities where children from challenging family backgrounds can find a loving home.

Respectively, six children live together with 2 professionally trained adults in Salem extended families. Individual counseling is provided for all of the children in our care.

For every child in the care of  the New England Salem Children’s Village we provide:

• A general assessment of needs
• Individual therapy for every child 
• Therapeutic collaboration in handling the issues of day to day living
• Assistance with educational, recreational, and medical needs
• On-site consultation from a child psychiatrist
• A loving, nurturing environment
• A sense of family structure and responsibilities
• Transition work and therapy for going back into either the original home, foster care, or adoptive home environments

There is a narrow window during a child's formative years when his or her life can be influenced in a postive way, establishing a foundation for a successful future.  Salem helps children to build that strong foundation.
